A young married couple wake the neighbours with arguments about wild sexual fantasies. Unspoken disasters from the past grow quietly into the present. Their soap opera romance seems dangerously close to the end of season.

Meanwhile, the drama of love lost and found goes on in a psychic's waiting room, where a woman confesses to her desires of abuse and an affair on the kitchen table leaves fortune cookies crumbled and hearts broken.

Zen's Red Mouth is based on a fifteen minute script , "Mouth" which was written in twelve hours for BSX's 24 hour play festival in 2004. It has since been reworked and extended for a short season at the Artrage Bakery Complex. This is the first season of the full length work.

Zen's Red Mouth laughs out loud at the darkest disasters with comedy that is bitterly black.
